The visit of the National Assembly delegation led by Alen Simonyan to Canada has been postponed. The visit to Canada was planned from September 25 to 30.

The delegation included exclusively government deputies.

The delegation includes the chairman of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, the secretary of the Civil Contract faction Artur Hovhannisyan, deputies of the Civil Contract faction Rustam Bakoyan, Arman Yeghoyan, Hasmik Hakobyan and employees of the National Assembly.

In an interview with ArmLur.am, NA Speaker’s press secretary Movses Harutyunyan said that the reason for the delay is the internal political crisis in Canada.

“There is actually an internal political crisis in Canada now. The Speaker of the House of Commons of the Canadian Parliament had a phone call with Alen Simonyan and asked to postpone the visit. When the situation stabilizes, the visit to Canada will take place,” he said.
