In a conversation with journalists yesterday, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan referred to the fact already proved by various international structures that terrorists and jihadists are acting against Artsakh. “It is a fact that terrorists and jihadists are fighting against Artsakh, they are committing war crimes, they are going to carry out their terrorist acts in other countries,” Tatoyan said.

It should be reminded that on October 2, the President of France Emanuel Macron announced. “There is evidence that Syrian mercenaries from Turkey are taking part in the hostilities in Karabakh,” said US Congressman Brad Sherman on October 7. “I urge the US State Department to continue to convey to Turkey that the deployment of militants in the region is unacceptable and will meet the US response.”

Then the head of the Russian Internal Intelligence Sergey Naryshkin mentioned October 6. “According to the PRS, mercenaries of international terrorist groups fighting in the Middle East, such as Jebhat an-Nusra, Fikrat al-Hamzan, Sultan Murad, as well as Kurdish extremist groups, are actively arriving in the conflict zone.”

Even now, rumors are circulating in Istanbul that when Turkish special services recruit terrorists in Syria to be sent to Azerbaijan to fight against Artsakh, some of them are issued Azeri passports. And it is not excluded that not all terrorists eventually reach the front. Some of them, using the visa-free regime between Azerbaijan and Russia, are able to reach the Russian Federation without hindrance, which means that the threat of terrorism in Russia is growing day by day.

It should be reminded that just weeks ago, on October 13, a shootout took place between militants and law enforcement in the Grozny, capital of the Chechen Republic. Moreover, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said the militants had infiltrated Grozny from abroad, planning a series of terrorist attacks in the region.
